The Photographers Division of the Journalists’ Syndicate has launched a registration form for covering the funeral of late veteran artist Hany Shaker.
This marks the first official implementation of a cooperation protocol with “Sakna,” a company specializing in funeral organization, aimed at ensuring journalists’ and photographers’ right to perform their work without chaos or disruption.
Magdy Ibrahim, Head of the Photographers Division at the Journalists’ Syndicate, said the approved registration form is a practical step to ensure respect for the privacy of such sensitive moments, while upholding the professional and ethical standards of journalism.
This will allow for organized and smooth coverage of this important event, free from any disorder or issues.
The form will also prevent the presence of non-journalists or non-photographers, particularly social media page owners, and will help curb the violations that had previously occurred at the funerals and condolence gatherings of public figures.
